BioZone will host a symposium on Challenges and Opportunities in Biotechnologies for CO2 Conversion. The goals of this event are to (1) identify the fundamental challenges impeding the application of biotechnologies for CO2 capture and conversion to value-added products, such as fuels and materials; and (2) to initiate the development of research consortia to solve these challenges.

This symposium will include an impressive group of speakers, including Ted Sargent (Northwestern / Toronto), David Sinton (Toronto), Pamela Silver (Harvard), David Leys (Manchester), Nico Claassens (Wageningen), Michael Koepke (LanzaTech), Alfred Spormann (Stanford), Andrea Ramirez (Delft), Ron Milo (Weizmann), and Nigel Minton (Nottingham), as well as a poster session open to students and post-docs working in this area.

The symposium will be held at Hart House on the U of T campus. Meals and refreshments will be provided to in-person participants.

Space for in-person attendees is limited. To register by May 12, please contact Jordan Wosnick (BioZone Executive Director) for registration details.
