The CREATE for BioZone hosted a virtual seminar and panel discussion on open science on May 21, attended by over 50 students, postdocs and staff from BioZone and the UofT community. Dr. Aled Edwards presented different models for tech transfer and IP in research; history of Affinium Pharmaceuticals and other startups; funding options for new ventures; and the role and value of open science in public-private partnerships and collaborations. Max Morgan and Dr. Edwards answered questions on open science following the seminar.
