Our Mission
BioZone brings together microbiology, protein engineering, synthetic biology, machine learning, and related disciplines to understand, engineer, and harness biological systems for industrial and environmental biotechnology. We have particular strengths in anaerobic microbial technologies and the biological conversion of waste and underutilized resources into valuable chemicals and materials.
We pursue fundamental, curiosity-driven research while keeping sight of the opportunities for real-world impact. By combining discovery with engineering and working closely with industry, government, and other external partners, we aim to translate biological insights into practical technologies that enable a more sustainable future.
